I discovered the original letters written by George Robinson at the NYS Archives in Albany. What a thrill it was to hold a letter in my hand which was written during the Battle of Gettysburg! Copies were made and passed on to Edward Robinson, a descendant, who faithfully and accurately transcribed them. The transcriptions are published here with his permission.
