Morris Dick
In the Name of God, Amen.
I, Morris Dick, of Hebron, Washington County and state of New York, being of
sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and
transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my
last Will and Testament, that is to say:
First after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath to
my daughter Cristiana Dick, all my Real Estate now owned & occupied by me
and all the household furniture & goods belonging to the house; also three
thousand dollars in money & to have the same immediately at my decease.
Second I will & bequeath two hundred dollars for my executors to take &
defray all my necessary expenses and to have the same immediately as above
stated.
Third I give and bequeath to my grandson
Fourth I give and bequeath to my grandchildren, George M. Hills, Mary Hills,
Isabel Hills, Elizabeth Hills, Charles Hills & Charlott
Hills two hundred and fifty dollars each; all to be paid within one year after
my decease except those first mentioned, meaning my daughter Christiana &
my executor, and also excepting those named under twenty one years of age &
them to be paid when they shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, and on
condition any of those grandchildren should die before arriving at the age of
21 years the share belonging to such minor is to be divided equally among the
remaining grandchildren share and share alike. The minors shares to be kept in
interest from one year after my decease by my executors until they shall arrive
at the age of 21 years.
Likewise, I make, constitute and approve my friend William J. McClellan &
my friend William Beveridge to be executors of this
my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills
by me made. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed
my seal the 16th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and sixty nine.

The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Morris Dick in our
presence and acknowledged by him to each of us; and he at the same time
declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last Will and Testament;
and so at his request have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written
opposite our names our respective places of residence.

In the matter of proving
the last Will & Testament
Morris Dick deceased Washington County, ss
John M. Rea and William Maxwell being duly sworn in open court severally depose
and say that they were acquainted with the above named Morris Dick in his life
time and that they and each of them were present and saw him subscribe his name
at the end of the instrument in writing now produced and exhibited to them
purporting to be the last Will & Testament of the said deceased bearing
date the 16th day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty nine. That
the said deceased at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid published
and declared the said instrument to be his last Will & Testament in the
presence of these deponents and of each of them, and these deponents at the
request of the said deceased and in his presence and in the presence of each
other subscribed their names respectively thereto as witness to the execution
thereof. That at the time of the execution thereof the said died was a citizen
of the

correct record of the last Will and Testament of Morris Dick late of the town
of Hebron decd and of the testimony taken by and before me in proving said Will
as a will of Real & Personal Estate.
