Copy of the last Will and Testament of William Foster late of Granville deceased Recorded 6th April 1825.

In the name of God Amen. I William Foster of Granville in the County of Washington and State of New York being advanced in years and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life but of perfect mind and memory Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First I order and direct that all my just debts funeral charges and other expenses be paid and discharged.

Secondly I give Devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ruth the use occupancy and profits of our equal third part of all the real Estate of which I shall die seized and also one equal third part of all my personal property of which I may die possessed after payment of my just Debts funeral charges and the Legacies hereinafter mentioned.

Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Lampton (Lampson?) the sum of one Dollar & fifty cents and to my son Edward Foster (if he should be living at the time of my decease) the sum of one Dollar & fifty cents, and to my son William Foster the sum of one Dollar and fifty cents which said Legacies I order aand direct to be paid to the respective Legatees by my Executor hereinafter named within one year after my decease.

Fourthly I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Rhoda Beckwith, Lucy Talmadge Electa Stewart and Laura Hollister each an Equal share of all the remainder and residue of my estate real and personal of which I shall die seized or possessed of.

Lastly I hereby appoint my son William Foster Jun and William Raymond Senior Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the first day of January in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and twenty one.
