In the name of God Amen.
I William Snody of the Town of Dresden, county of
Washington, and state of New York, being of sound mind and memory do make,
publish, & declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner & form as
follows to wit:
First, I do hereby give and bequeath to my Grand daughter Arabella
Clemons, wife of Henry Clemons, the sum of one hundred dollars for her own use
and benefit forever.
Second, I do hereby give & bequeath to my Grand daughter Mary F. Jakway, wife of Isaac Jakway, the
sum of one hundred dollars for her own use and benefit forever.
Third, I do hereby give & bequeath to my Grand daughter Nancy E.
Bartholomew the sum of one hundred dollars for her own use and benefit forever.
Fourth, I do hereby give & bequeath to Ella Dun, daughter of Michael Dun,
the sum of one hundred dollars for her own use and benefit forever.
Fifth, I do hereby give bequeath and devise all the rest residue and remainder
of my property both real and person of every kind and wherever situate or
being, to my daughters Angeline Bartholomew, Marion Bartholomew, Sarah
Bartholomew, and to my friend Michael Dun, to equally divided between said Angeline,
Marion, Sarah, and Michael share and share alike for their and each of their
own use and benefit forever.
Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint Joseph Bartholomew and Oliver L. Steere as the executors of this my Last Will
and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this
14th day of March 1879.
