Norma A. Gannon, 97 GREENWICH-Norma A. Gannon, 97, a resident Prospect Street in Greenwich, died early Saturday, April 1, 2000 at her residence. Born September 18, 1902, in Coudersport, NY she was the daughter of the late Claude and Effie (Williams) Allen. Mrs. Gannon was a graduate of St. Lawrence University and had taught school in Red Hook, and also had done private tutoring. She was a member of the Literacy Group in Saratoga Springs. Mrs. Gannon and her husband, James Kimball Gannon, a successful popular songwriter of the World War ll era, who died in 1974, retired to Greenwich and were generous, though quiet, benefactors to the area. Survivors include two nephews, James Bullard of Ticonderoga and David Bullard of Schuylerville; and a neice, Rosemary Gannon of Porto Velho, Rondonia, Brazil. At her request, there were no calling hours and a private service was to be conducted at the Greenwich Cemetery. It is her wishes that memorials be made in her name to Mary McClellan Hospital, Cambridge, NY.
