Lorraine Welch, 70 SHUSHAN, NY- Mrs. Lorraine Welch, 70, widow of Robert L. Welch, a resident of Shushan, NY. died Saturday April 1, 2000 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY following a brilef illness. Born in Bennington, VT, June 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruby (Baker) Gates. She received her education in North Bennington and was a graduate of the former North Bennington High School class of 1947. Mr. & Mrs. Welch were married in Salem, NY. May 2a3, 1975. Mr. Welch died September 4, 1989. In earlier Years she was employed at the former Warren Wire Company and Thomson Manufacturing. She later was employed at Eveready Battery until her retirement in 1988. Mrs. Welch was a member of the Hill Country Cloggers and was a former member of both the Three State Cloggers and Catamount Gadabouts. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her primary interest. Survivors include three daughters, Candace Rogers of Bennington, Colleen Gates of Hoosick Falls and Cindy Tifft of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Watson of Rutland and Florida and Penelope Hawkins-Farrara of North Bennington; nieces, nephew, and cousins. Mrs. Welch was pre-deceased by a grandson and a sister, Eileen Carrier. The funeral was held Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. from St. Peters Episcopal Church in Bennington, with Rev.; Arthur Kingdon, Rector, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery, Bennington.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Chapter of the American Heart Association through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, Vermont.  (Posted 4/29/00) Submitted by Gillian M. Thomas S. Wilson June 25, 1980 

Thomas Solomon Wilson, infant son of Thomas D. and Gillian (Freemyer) Wilson of White Creek, N.Y., died this morning at Albany N.Y. Medical Center. He was born June 21 at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Besides his parents he is survived by his grandmother,Mrs. ?Ruth Barber Freemyer of Hoosick Falls, N.Y. and his grandfather Clarence Freemyer of Shaftsbury Hollow. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Cambridge, N.Y.
