This Indenture made
this seventh day of September in the year
of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five Between James Hamilton of the County of Albany of
the one part and Peter McQueen of
the Washington County of the other part Witnesseth
that the said James Hamilton for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred twenty pounds current money of New
York to him in hand paid said by the said Peter
McQueen at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered
and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and deliver unto the said Peter McQueen his heirs, and assigns
forever all these two certain Lotts of ground
particularly mentioned and described in the within Indenture of Release relation thereunto being had will appear
Together with all and singular the houses, outhouses, Barns, Orchards, gardens,
woods, underwoods, Trees, Timbers, Feedings, meadows,
marshes, swamps, ponds, pools, creeks, runs and streams of water with all
privileges and appurtenances To have and to hold the abovementioned two Lotts with every part and parcel thereof with their and
every of their appurtenances unto him the said Peter McQueen his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use
and behoof of the said Peter McQueen his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the
said parties to the presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and
seals the day and year first above written James
Hamilton (J.H.) Sealed and delivered In presence of us John McCrea, Samuel Tombe. Received of Peter
McQueen the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds the full consideration
money mentioned to be paid received by me this eighth day of September 1785 James Hamilton. Witnesses present: Samuel Tombe,
John McCrea. Be it remembered that on the twentieth day of September In the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six personally appeared
before me Ebenezer Russell Esq. One
of the Judges of the Inferior Court of Common Pleas. John McCrea one of the subscribing witnesses to this Instrument who
being duly sworn deposeth that the said James Hamilton sign, seal and deliver
the above Instrument as his act and deed and at the same time saw Samuel Tombe
subscribe as a witness thereto allow the same to be seconded. Eben. Russell Judge I certify the aforegoing
Record to be a true Copy of the original deed& commitments 20th
