Last Will & Testament of Elizabeth W. Robinson

In the name of God, Amen:

I, Elizabeth W. Robinson, of Bald Mountain, Town of Greenwich, County of Washington, State of New York, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made.

First. - I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as may be practicable.

Second. - I direct my executor hereinafter named to erect suitable tombstones at the graves of my mother and father, paying for both together not to exceed one hundred dollars out of my estate, which sum I hereby give and bequeath to him for that purpose.

Third. - I give and bequeath my gold watch and chain to Elizabeth Marguerite Lansing, daughter of Edward B. Lansing, of Trionda, Washington County, New york.

Fourth. - I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel to my sister, Alice M. Clark, who now resides in Manchester, Vermont.

Fifth. - I give and bequeath to my said sister, Alice M. Clark the sum of one thousand dollars out of the money in bank or moneys invested, after deducting the one hundred dollars directed to be paid to my executor by the second paragraph of this will, of which I may die possessed, provided I leave sufficient money in bank or moneys invested, after paying my debts, funeral expenses and said one hundred dollars, to make one thousand dollars; but in case I do not leave sufficient money in bank or moneys invested, after paying my debts, funeral expenses and said one hundred dollars, I hereby give and bequeath to my said sister, Alice M. Clark, all my money in bank and moneys invested, after paying my debts, funeral expenses and said one hundred dollars, of which I may died possessed. In case of the death of my said sister, Alice M. Clark, before my death, I hereby give and bequeath the said personal property hereinafter bequeathed to her to my brother, George N.Wright of Bald Mountain, Town of Greenwich, Washington County, New York.

Sixth. - I give, bequeath and devise to my said brother, George N. Wright, all of the rest, residue and remainder of my property, real, personal and mixed. In case of the death of my said brother before my death, I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my property, real, personal and mixed, to Mary S. Wright wife of my said brother, for life, and after her death to my sister, Alice M. Clark. In case both said George N. Wright and Mary S. Wright be not living at the time of my death, I give, bequeath and devise all the rest, residue and remainder of my property, real, personal and mixed, to my said sister, Alice M. Clark.

Lastly. - I nominate and appoint my said brother, George N. Wright, executor of this my will.

The foregoing instrument, consisting of one sheet, written on both sides in addition to this sheet was subscribed, sealed, published and declared by Elizabeth W. Robinson, the testatrix therein named, as and for her last will and testament in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and we, at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other, hereunto subscribe our names and residences as attesting witnesses this 6th day of September, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

I, Elizabeth W. Robinson do make, publish and declare this to be a codicil to my last will & testament dated September 6, 1910:

I confirm my said will in all things except as hereinafter stated.

I hereby revoke the third clause of my said will.

I give and bequeath the watch & chain mentioned in said third clause of my said will, unto my sister Alice M.Clark.

I nominate and appoint my brother George N. Wright to be my executor and my sister Alice M. Clark to be executrix of my said will & this codicil, to serve without, and in any event, giving any bonds, hereby giving my said executor and executrix full power to sell and convey any or all of my real estate.

Robinson the testatrix above named signed & sealed the same in our presence & at the same declared it to be a codicil to her last will and testament & requested us to act as witnesses thereto, and we, thereupon at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have signed our names as witnesses thereof.

I, Frederick Fraser, Surrogate of said county, do certify that the foregoing is a correct record of the last Will and Testament and Codicil of Elizabeth W. Robinson, late of the Town of Greenwich, in said county, deceased; that said Last Will and Testament and Codicil was admitted to probate as a Will of real and personal estate and recorded the 22nd day of November, 1912; that a correct transcript of the testimony taken on the probate thereof is recorded in Proof Probate of wills Vol. 1, at pages 470 and 471.
