Last Will of George Killmer
February 1, 1802
In the name of God Amen – I George Killmer of the Town of Argyle County of Washington and State of New York Former Being weak in Body but of Sound and perfect Mind and Memory Blessed be Almighty God for the same Do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to Say) First I give and Bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Killmore one Cow now in my possession and the sum of Seventy Five Dollars in Money and four Hogs and the Fowls and one Sheep. I do also Bequeath to my GrandSon George Killmore Son of Simon Killmor one Sorel Mare and lastly as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate Goods and Chattels of what kind and Nature Soever I do hereby Request my executors to Dispose of at public Vendue and Divide the proceeds Equally among my five children Simon Adam Elizabeth Mary and Henry and thereby appoint Samuel Humphrey Henry and John White executers of this my last will and Testament Hereby revoking all former wills by one made in writing whereof I have hereunto Set my brand and Seal this first Day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Two ---

Be it remembered that on the first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two Personally came and appointed before me Edward Savage Surrogate of the said county, Daniel Reed of Argyle in said county former and being duly Sworn on his oath declared that he did See George Killmor Sign and Seal the preceeding Testament by marking his mark thereto purporting to be the will of the said George Kilmor bearing – <<missing text>> date
Date the first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two and heard him publish and declare the Same as and for his last will and Testament that at the time thereof he the said George Killmor was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of them the deponent And that his name is Subscribed to the said will is his own handwriting which he Subscribed as a witness thereto in the presence of the Testator And that he the deponent Saw Daniel Rankin and John Pritchet the other Subscribing witnesses Subscribe their names as witnesses thereto in the Testators Presence –
And be it also remembered that on the same day Samuel Humphrey and Henry Killmor two of the Executors of the said will by Severally taking the usal oath as Executors
