Last Will and Testament of MORGAN HEATH of GREENWICH,
WASHINGTON, NY
In the Name of God, Amen, I MORGAN HEATH of the Town of GREENWICH in the County
of WASHINGTON and State of NEW YORK of the AGE of NEARLY SEVENTY TWO YEARS and
being of Sound Mind and Memory Do Make, Publish and Declare this My Last Will
and Testament in manner following that is to say
FIRST –
I give and bequeath to My WIFE ANNA T. HEATH to be accepted and required by her
In Lieu Of Dower, FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS and ALL or as much of the FURNITURE in
the House where we now reside as she may wish INCLUDING SILVER WARE, CROCKERY
and OTHER ARTICLES OF HOUSEHOLD USE : The FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS PAYABLE WITHIN
ONE YEAR from my decease WITH INTEREST from my decease: This bequest is to be
IN LIEU OF all CLAIMS She may have by Statute or Otherwise in my Personal
Property as well as in my Real Estate.
SECOND –
I give and devise to My SON HENRY L. HEATH the FARM where I NOW AND HAVE for
the last TWENTY FIVE YEARS LIVED during HIS NATURAL LIFE and at HIS DECEASE to
HIS CHILDREN and IN CASE HE should LEAVE but ONE surviving CHILD, I Order and
Direct that said FARM shall BELONG EQUALLY to HIS WIDOW, surviving CHILD, and
MY GRANDSON FRANK MASON. I give My SON HENRY absolutely as his own A WOOD LOT
IN THE TOWN OF EASTON County aforesaid containing about THIRTY THREE ACRES,
said WOOD LOT was PURCHASED BY ME of GARDNER TEFFT as EXECUTOR of JOHN POTTER
and MRS. Mc CREADY, I also give absolutely as his own To My SON HENRY my HORSE
or HORSES, WAGONS, HARNESS, FARMING TOOLS and whatever STOCK I may Have On said
FARM at my decease.
THIRD –
I give and devise to My DAUGHTER JULIA H. MASON after paying my just debts,
legacies and funeral expenses ALL THE REST, RESIDUE AND REMAINDER OF MY
PERSONAL ESTATE of what nature or kind soever WHOM I
HEREBY APPOINT SOLE EXECUTOR of this My Last Will and Testament hereby revoking
all former wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set My Hand and Seal this TWENTY EIGHTH day of JUNE in the Year of our
Lord ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED and EIGHTY TWO.

Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and
in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto.

I, ANNA T. HEATH hereby agree to accept the foregoing legacy given to me in MY HUSBAND’S WILL in lieu of all claims I may have of Dower
