David Durling

This is a photograph of my great great uncle David Durling in his Civil War Uniform. David was is the 64th NY Infantry company A. He enlisted at Schenectady, NY. He was born in PA. in 1849 the son of Garrett Durling and Sarah Ross. David married Lucinda Curtiss. He died in 1914 and is buried in the Greenwich Cemetery Lot A 24. He had 5 other siblings. They were all born in PA.
Isabella b.1840.
Edward Wallace b. 1842. He served in the Civil War in the 123rd. Regiment company E and died from his injuries in 1866. He was wounded in action, June 22, 1864, at Kolb's Farm, GA. He married Lucinda Austin. My grandfather Bennett was named after him and my brother was named after my grandfather.
Adelaide b.1844.
Alfred b. 1846. He married Julia Dawley in 1864 in Greenwich, NY. He served in the Civil War in the 2nd NY VETERAN CAVALRY.
Mary Elisabeth b. 1846. She married Exodus Bennett, Jr. She is my great grandmother.
The family originally lived in Tunkhannock,Wyoming Co., Pennsylvania. When Sarah Ross Durling died on Dec. 17, 1849 in Wyoming Co., PA, Garrett moved his young family to Greenwich, NY. Garrett remarried to Mary W? and their first child was born in Greenwich in 1853.
