Christine M. Taber, 32 Venice, California

Christine Marie Taber, 32, an artist, lost her life in a tragic bicycle accident in California on Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Born April 12, 1968 in Litchfield, Conn., she was the daughter of Paul and Lindsey Taber of Argyle. She was a graduate of Argyle Central School, Class of 1986, the State University of Buffalo in 1991,and received her Master's from the Universitly of Southern California. Chris's life evolved around her painting. It was her Life's calling; always happiest when she had a paintbrush in hand. She loved everything that grew or had a heartbeat. Our sorrow goes out to all who knew her and those that never got the chance. Besides her parents, she leaves behind her partner, Kevin Andersen of Venice, Calif.; her twin sister, Cathy and her husband, John Frederick of Rochester, and their two children, Lindsey and Jack; her brother, Norman and his wife, Tory and daughter, Zoe of Weatherford, Okla.; her grandparents, Mrs. George Magdalany of Cambridge and Frederic H. Taber of West Palm Beach, Fla., and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Arrangements were under way for a celebration of her life, to take place at Saturday, May 27 at the "old" North Argyle Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Christine Taber Art Scholarship, being set up to be awarded annually to an Argyle Central senior who would like to pursue a career in art: Chris Taber Memorial Fund, Argyle Central School, Sheridan St., Argyle, NY, 12809
